Shoes off

This blog aims to be a creative expression of my travels as well as a platform to spread awareness of the world outside your own backdoor, good and bad. It aims to encourage its readers to travel, and if they can’t to be an outlet to explore the world from the comfort of their own home. It started as a way to stay in touch with my friends and family, and has grown exponentially from there.

I am a writer not an editor  though in saying that I will always do my best to write with correct grammar and structure… but nothing is guaranteed. I don’t like to edit my work. I find it boring. I like to write and then to publish. But thanks would have to go to my wonderful sisters who read my posts from the comfort of their homes back in my hometown and then send me an email letting me know that I should go back and edit my terrible grammar and spelling so I don’t look like a fool…

The photography on this blog is mostly my own (if not otherwise credited), it is all protected by copyright, if you want to use any of the photography or writing on your own blog or in advertising of any kind, please contact me first, and we can work something out.

Got something to say? Nice or not, I don’t mind, I have pretty thick skin and an ability to laugh at myself… though I do retain the right to edit your comments if they are offensive or obvious advertising to protect my readers.

Bring a friend. That way you will have something to talk to each other about.

If you’re a publisher, owner or editor of newspapers, online publications or magazines and would like to pay me to write… I would LOVE to hear from you! Dont be shy.

Take your shoes off before entering, it’s respectful.

I applaud your courage!! I wish I was brave enough to travel on my own to exotic places..just to experience life that goes on everyday all over the world and around me while I live in my own litle corner of the world in New Orleans.

I am the publishing editor of 72&Rising Magazine, a magazine dedicated to all things water. The magazine covers everything from wildlife and conservation, science and research, people and cultures to photography, travel and adventure.

We are currently in the process of redoing our website where we hope to have submissions from a wide range of people that love and are involved in water in all its forms. I recently came across your blog and wondered if you might be interested in contributing an article with images to our site? We would of course include a link back to your website.

    Many thanks
